Polk High Wins Championship
Polk High wins the 2007 Spring Championship in a victory over (10-1) Stainless. With 11 minutes to go the score was Stainless 26, Polk High 28, but Polk High scored two more touchdowns for a final score of 41-26. Polk High defeated (10-1) Gauchos in Round 2 of the Playoffs to advance to the Championship game. |

Highlights: Quarterback Guy Lopez passes for 363 yards and a 71% completion average. Amilcar Archila turns in an outstanding performance with an interception, 6 receptions for 122 yards, and 20 points. Michael Isidro also had an exceptional receiving day with 131 yards, and 14 points, including a 50 yard TD reception. Albert Garcia had a big defensive performance with 1 interception and 2 sacks. Anthony Guzman came up big with 2 game changing sacks. Against the Gauchos in the Round 2 of the Playoffs, Mando Cruz had 6 receptions for 63 yards, and 20 points. |
